Quick reminder: Blue bags are essential for our system to function. Why?
They are designed with special identification technology that helps us track, sort and refund your recyclables efficiently. This also empowers you to deposit all the bottles and cans at once rather than the old method of turning in each can or bottle individually. The unified quality ensures fairness and equality amongst all users.
The bags are designed to safely hold up to 20 lbs of CRV material without breaking or causing spills. This helps protect our staff, equipment, the environment and most importantly it ensures that you do not lose your CRV.
In June 2024, we have increased the size of the bags by more than 20%. Also, thanks to the new BOTTLEBANK system, you can now crush your plastic bottles and aluminum cans to have even more space in these bags.
